Baby and Toddler Show

From the 15-17^th March 2019 we jumped in head first and decided to exhibit at our first show which was the Baby and Toddler Show in Manchester, Event City.

WE LOVED IT.

We were nervous but excited and spent weeks planning, organising and making sure we had everything just perfect for our first show, so it ran smoothly. Very ironic that the sleepless nights were in full force leading up to this event! The products we were focusing on were our Cooling Cot & Bed Cover and Cooling Mat.

Our First Day: 15^th March

Our first day, was a bit of a learning curve if we are being completely honest. We introduced ourselves to other businesses, Ziggle, Mumba Bra and Private Midwives who helped us find our feet. Our product is new and unique, so we learned quickly we needed to get people over to us, rather than expecting them to know who we are. As the day went on, we had slow but steady flow of people coming to our stand. The reaction we had from mums, dads, grandmas and grandads was really positive – great for us to hear. At the end of the day we reflected on the days events and came up with new ways to engage people to come and look at our stand for the next two days.

Saturday and Sunday: 16 – 17^th March 2019

Both Saturday and Sunday were a total blur! Despite the awful weather conditions everyone came out in full force and we could not believe the sea of people that entered through the doors. Anyone that walked past our stand was handed a leaflet and asked to feel ‘how cool’ our products were. IT WORKED! And the reaction from them was, “Oh wow, it really is cold!” We don’t think we have heard a phrase used so much and it was the exact reaction we were looking for! We also made the decision to take with us a sample of our Cooling Mattress Topper and Cooling Pillow due to the interest and reaction we received on Friday. The Cooling Pillow definitely stole the show!

Mumba Bra

As it was our first show, we were a little apprehensive.. The other stall holders were so supportive and gave us some great advice, everything from what to expect, to tips for social media. This advice came from a wonderful company called Mumba Bra. Not only do they have a fantastic product (which we were 100% sold on), but Liz and her team were incredibly kind and helped us feel at ease through quite a daunting time for us. We cannot thank them enough and we are looking forward to seeing them at other events in the future.

All in all, our weekend was fantastic and we feel positive about where we can take CoolSoft in the future. We are certainly looking forward to attending more shows and meeting the wonderful people who are helping our business grow.
